"...even the smallest gesture can have the biggest impact."

ABOUT

My name is Tiffany, and I started Give A Snuggle (formerly Blankets for BBies) in December of 2013. Having visited my local animal shelter sporadically throughout the year, I couldn't help but feel the need to help out in some way.

Walking the shelter aisles and seeing those furry babies of all colors, shapes and sizes whimper for one thing - love. It does all sorts of things to your heart, you just want to take them all home with you.

Unfortunately, I can't scoop every stray in my arms and give them the forever home they deserve. Instead of dwelling on what I couldn't do, I remembered an Arthur Ashe quote that always stuck with me. "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." Starting small can lead to big things, because even the smallest gesture can have the biggest impact.

I used the social media that was at my fingertips, connected with friends and family and was able to come up with enough money to purchase and donate over 50 blankets. Something so simple, felt like such a big difference. It was an awesome campaign and I was fortunate enough to repeat it annually with even bigger results. The selfless generosity of everyone who donated will never be forgotten, especially to the lives they touched by sending a "warm embrace."

In all honesty, I started this cause without any expectations of anyone helping out, solely for the purpose of spreading awareness that shelters do in fact need supplies all year round. If you can't donate to my cause to help my local shelter's occupants, please consider donating money, items, or your time and love to your local shelter.

And if you can, consider bringing one of those animals home with you. It's a big responsibility but the reward is something very indescribable and priceless, for both you and your pet.
